Wipro, an IT consultancy and business process services company, has joined forces with IBM to launch the Enterprise AI-Ready Platform, aiming to drive enterprise-scale adoption of Generative AI. The platform utilizes IBM’s ‘watsonx’ to simplify integration and standardization of diverse data sources, fostering seamless incorporation of AI across various business processes. This collaboration is part of an extended partnership between the two companies.
Wipro’s Enterprise AI-Ready Platform, a fully integrated service for deploying AI environments at an enterprise level, leverages IBM watsonx’s AI and data platform, including watsonx.ai, watsonx.data, and watsonx.governance along with AI assistants. The service accelerates AI adoption, offering clients tools, large language models, streamlined processes, and robust governance. It establishes the foundation for future analytical solutions based on watsonx.data and AI.
The expanded partnership aims to merge Wipro’s industry and technology expertise with IBM’s leading AI and hybrid cloud innovations. The goal is to create solutions that enhance the deployment of reliable, integrated, and enterprise-ready AI solutions.
Jo Debecker, Managing Partner & Global Head, Wipro FullStride Cloud, emphasized the collaboration’s potential to enable enterprises to consume AI more efficiently, sustainably, reliably, and agilely. The partnership will establish a centralized tech hub, IBM TechHub@Wiprosolution, staffed with engineers and subject matter experts developing and supporting AI solutions for joint clients.
The Enterprise AI-Ready Platform will utilize watsonx.governance to automate governance throughout the AI lifecycle, assisting businesses in monitoring risks and adhering to responsible AI principles, focusing on transparency, data protection, and legal compliance.
Nagendra Bandaru, Managing Partner and President at Wipro Enterprise Futuring, highlighted the platform’s role in facilitating client integration and standardization of multiple data sources. This aids in transforming business processes with AI and Generative AI, allowing clients to co-develop custom applications or build preferred models based on the platform’s foundational tools.
As part of the extended partnership, Wipro associates will undergo training in IBM hybrid cloud, AI, and data analytics technologies, accelerating the development of joint solutions.
