This advancement allows customers to enhance their AI projects by combining NetApp’s intelligent data infrastructure with high-performance compute, networking, and NVIDIA’s software.

Arunkumar Gururajan, Vice President of Data Science & Research at NetApp, outlined the distinctive AI approach that empowers customers with complete access and control over their data throughout the pipeline, seamlessly transitioning between public cloud and on-premises environments. This integrated methodology ensures optimal performance, productivity, and protection, facilitating swift innovation with AI.

Driven by the widespread adoption of Gen AI globally, with nearly three in four companies leveraging this technology for task automation and insights discovery, NetApp responds with these new capabilities. The company, well-versed in supporting AI, provides solutions for managing data wherever it resides, offering reliable, secure data crucial for responsible AI implementation.

The updated intelligent data infrastructure introduces NetApp AIPod, an AI-optimized converged infrastructure for critical AI projects. Additionally, there are new FlexPod for AI reference architectures and validation for NVIDIA OVX systems, designed to streamline deployment, eliminate complexity, and simplify ongoing operations to support customers’ AI applications effectively.

NetApp’s commitment to navigating the complex IT landscape is emphasized by its intelligent data infrastructure, fostering agility, breaking down silos, and customizing optimization for AI applications. Masahiro Waki, AI Business Lead for NetApp Asia Pacific, highlighted the strategic partnerships, including NVIDIA, enabling the establishment of sophisticated data pipelines for enterprises on their AI journeys.

In a parallel development, NetApp introduces new cyber-resilience capabilities, including Autonomous Ransomware Protection with AI (ARP/AI), utilizing AI/ML in storage to combat ransomware. This innovation ensures increased accuracy and performance for identifying and mitigating evolving cyber threats.
