This initiative is part of an extended four-year partnership with Microsoft, focusing on utilizing Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service and other technological advancements. FWD Group’s commitment to a cloud-first approach is emphasized through this collaboration.

Chief Digital Officer of FWD Group, Ryan Kim, expressed the company’s intention to develop new industry use cases and standards, aiming to leverage Microsoft Azure’s private networking, monitoring, security capabilities, and advanced AI models. The strategic alliance is designed to enhance various operations, including client acquisition, marketing strategies, performance metrics, underwriting processes, claims, and overall customer service.

Founded in 2013 as the insurance arm of Pacific Century Group, FWD Group serves over 11 million customers across 10 markets, offering life and medical insurance, general insurance, and employee benefits. The collaboration with Microsoft reflects FWD Group’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technologies to refine and improve its business processes.
