Bin Dasmal Group to Adopt RPA for Internal Processes Automation

The Dubai-based engineering solutions provider is evaluating RPA and IIoT solutions to automate its internal processes as part of its strategy to build a data-driven organization.


The Bin Dasmal Group, a leading provider of engineering solutions, has charted strategy to incorporate automation into its internal processes. The company is weighing on Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to automate its engineering solutions as well as manufacturing, HR and finance processes. The drive for automation is part of the company’s initiatives to build a data-driven organization.

“Our move to build data-driven organization will enable us deliver high level of customer experience. These initiatives will provide deep customer insights to business leaders and business unit heads, which they can utilize to drive their customer acquisition and servicing strategies. We are looking at RPA and IIoT solutions to automate our internal processes in order to deliver customer delight,” said Umesh Moolchandani, Global CIO, Bin Dasmal Group.

He further added that the idea is to break the silos of technology in the organization. “Silos of systems acts as a barrier in the adoption of technology. Hence, we are collaborating with various stakeholders and business units heads to understand their requirements as well as customer’s expectations. This way we are offering appropriate technology solutions, which can keep the entire organization on a single platform and make the administration much easier with unified management of assets,” explained Moolchandani.

The Dubai-based HVAC-R, access and storage, lifting and contract solutions company has implemented the Oracle Business Intelligence solution to drive its business analytics efforts. It has created a data warehouse which sources data from various sources like ERP and CRM. The solution offers a dashboard views to various stakeholders and business leaders to gain insights on customer and business data.

Further, to strengthen its technology infrastructure and build resilience for any pandemic, the company has drafted a robust business continuity plan. It has integrated all its critical assets and applications on cloud. It has also adopted a DR solution from Veeam for disaster recovery and backup at multiple locations.
