Vipin Chandran has been appointed as the Managing Director of SAP Malaysia by SAP Southeast Asia (SEA). With over 25 years of experience in leadership roles, Chandran has demonstrated expertise in team-building, partnership cultivation, and successful cloud implementations for clients.
In his new position, Chandran aims to enhance the digital transformation capabilities of Malaysian organizations, with a particular focus on propelling growth within the burgeoning AI economy. Additionally, he plans to prioritize initiatives aimed at fortifying supply chains for increased resilience and agility, contributing to a more sustainable future.
Reflecting on Malaysia’s thriving digital economy, Chandran expressed enthusiasm about the country’s trajectory towards becoming a regional digital hub, as evidenced by its significant GDP contribution from the digital sector. He sees his role at SAP Malaysia as pivotal in capitalizing on this momentum and collaborating closely with both public and private sector entities to navigate the evolving digital landscape.
Chandran’s tenure at SAP spans back to 2008, during which he held diverse roles including Chief Partner Officer for SAP Southeast Asia. In this capacity, he spearheaded cloud sales across the region and played a crucial role in supporting the success of numerous partner organizations.
Verena Siow, President and Managing Director of SAP SEA, commended Chandran’s appointment, expressing excitement about his leadership in driving SAP Malaysia forward.
