The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Mobile World Congress 2024, establishes Indosat as the first NVIDIA cloud provider partner in Indonesia. The collaboration involves Indosat and its subsidiary, Lintasarta, working to introduce NVIDIA’s comprehensive AI platform to Indonesian enterprises, offering access to GPU technologies through high-density data centers. The initiative aims to develop sustainable and hyper-connected AI-ready data centers in the future, enhancing computing capabilities for high-demand AI tasks.
In addition to introducing GPU-as-a-Service (Deka GPU), Lintasarta, as part of the NVIDIA collaboration, will provide customers with access to the latest AI capabilities tailored for various computing tasks. The collaboration underscores the increasing significance of AI supercomputers as critical infrastructure. It aims to lay the groundwork for Indonesia’s transformation into an AI-driven nation, leveraging Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison’s data centers to establish a sovereign AI platform that fosters innovation across the ecosystem.
Vikram Sinha, President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, expressed the significance of the collaboration in Indonesia’s journey to becoming a global AI-powered digital nation. The technology implementation will be executed in data centers operated by BDx Indonesia, a joint venture involving Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Lintasarta, and BDx Data Center. Sinha emphasized Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison’s commitment to democratizing digitalization in Indonesia, connecting and empowering every Indonesian citizen, with the collaboration playing a pivotal role in realizing this vision.
