Singtel has announced a collaboration with Vonage, a leading provider of cloud communications and a subsidiary of Ericsson, to enhance innovation and scalability for enterprises and telcos through Singtel’s Paragon platform. By integrating Paragon’s advanced telco and edge APIs with Vonage’s API platform, businesses will gain access to a global ecosystem of communication, network, and edge APIs, facilitating optimized, secure, and engaging customer experiences while expediting digital transformation efforts.
Paragon-enabled telcos across several countries, including Singapore, Thailand, Spain, Taiwan, and Indonesia, will be able to federate APIs to establish a globally unified telco and edge API library. This unified library will empower global independent software vendors (ISVs), enterprises, and developers to deliver digital services more efficiently across hybrid networks, hybrid edge, and public cloud infrastructures in various markets.
Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo, highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership, emphasizing how it enables enterprises and developers to leverage federated APIs and collaborate with Paragon-enabled telcos to develop and deploy applications seamlessly across multiple countries. This streamlined approach allows telcos and enterprises to focus on growth and innovation, offering vast opportunities for ISVs and partners to expand service delivery with ease, speed, and scale.
Niklas Heuveldop, Vonage CEO and Head of Business Area Global Communications Platform at Ericsson, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with Singtel, emphasizing the commitment to drive an open ecosystem for innovation and network monetization. By combining Vonage’s API platform with Ericsson’s 5G network capabilities and Singtel’s Paragon platform, the collaboration aims to empower developers to pioneer new solutions, improve customer experiences, and create new communication and engagement capabilities for enterprises.
Vonage APIs will be integrated into the Paragon platform marketplace, Singtel’s app store for multi-network, multi-cloud enterprise solutions. This integration enables enterprises to explore new possibilities for innovation and expand their range of digital services rapidly. Singtel also intends to make network and edge APIs available to developers through the Paragon and Vonage API platforms, driving rapid enterprise application development across multiple markets. These APIs, including Quality on Demand, slicing, and credential-less authentication, are expected to support new services and solutions, optimize application performance, and enhance customer experiences.
