In a strategic move to advance its digital transformation, Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) has strengthened its collaboration with telecommunications integrator PLDT Enterprise and its ICT arm, ePLDT. By adopting the cloud-based Google Workspace, MBC aims to improve operational efficiency and align itself with the evolving content preferences of digital audiences.
MBC, known for radio stations like DzRH, Yes FM, and Love Radio, is undergoing a transformation into a versatile content provider. The adoption of Google Workspace, facilitated by PLDT Enterprise as a Premier Google Workspace Partner, is a pivotal aspect of this ongoing evolution in response to the increasing migration of radio audiences to the digital sphere.
As part of the broader digital shift in the media industry, ePLDT has deployed Google Workspace to MBC, providing access to a suite of secure, integrated productivity and collaboration tools. Ruperto Nicdao, President of Manila Broadcasting Company, expressed confidence in the partnership with PLDT Enterprise and ePLDT, anticipating a seamless digital transformation and more efficient collaboration among teams.
Nicdao highlighted the establishment of a Digital Media Department at MBC to support current operations and generate additional content. The focus is on creating content tailored to the audience, and ePLDT sees itself as a guide in assisting MBC’s transition towards a content-centric model.

In the initial stages of MBC’s digital transformation, PLDT Enterprise provided various services, including Premium Internet, Sip Trunk, Postpaid, and SmartBro lines. With Google Workspace, MBC will utilize tools like Gmail for business, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive, and Docs to enhance intra-business coordination and productivity.
