Fujitsu Limited and Palantir Technologies Japan KK have recently inked an agreement to strengthen their strategic global partnership, supported by Palantir Technologies Inc. The collaboration focuses on addressing societal challenges and accelerating business transformation. Fujitsu plans to integrate Palantir’s AI and data integration capabilities into its global solutions portfolio, Fujitsu Uvance. This collaboration will commence services in the Japanese market in the 2023 fiscal year, expanding to North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific in fiscal 2024.
The partnership originated in June 2020 when Fujitsu and Palantir collaborated to enhance the digital transformation (DX) sector in Japan. Initially exclusive to the Japanese market, this strategic alliance will now extend to North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Building on Fujitsu’s expertise in DX across various sectors in Japan, the expanded collaboration aims to meet the diverse needs of global customers.
Fujitsu plans to leverage Palantir Foundry’s capabilities for large-scale data integration and management, incorporating them into the data infrastructure for Fujitsu Uvance. Additionally, Palantir AIP, facilitating secure activation of AI on private networks, will be integrated to enable customers to connect fragmented processes and data across organizations, fostering cross-industry collaboration.
The initial focus of services will be on ESG management and supply chain management (SCM), addressing societal issues and promoting business transformation. Fujitsu and Palantir aim to rapidly introduce new services that cater to the evolving needs of customers, aiding them in business and organizational transformation globally.
Yoshinami Takahashi, SEVP of Global Business Solutions Business Group at Fujitsu Limited, expressed confidence in the collaboration’s potential to contribute to SX and DX realization and ESG management within the framework of Fujitsu Uvance.
Koichi Narasaki, CEO at Palantir Technologies Japan KK, highlighted the growing role of DX platforms like Palantir AIP and Palantir Foundry in supporting DX promotion and acknowledged the evolution of their relationship with Fujitsu into a strategic global partnership.
