BlackLine, a prominent player in digital finance transformation, has announced the appointment of Emily Campbell as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In her new role, Campbell, an industry veteran with over 25 years of marketing leadership experience, will lead BlackLine’s global marketing strategy to capitalize on the increasing global demand for solutions that enhance automation, efficiency, financial governance, and risk management.

Reporting directly to Co-CEO Owen Ryan, Campbell is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping BlackLine’s position as the premier accounting and finance platform for the Office of the CFO. Ryan praised Campbell’s track record in building and growing technology brands globally, emphasizing her effectiveness in driving results across all aspects of marketing.

Prior to joining BlackLine, Campbell served as CMO at Infinite Electronics, overseeing global brand marketing strategy, e-commerce, customer experience, communications, inside sales, and technical support. Her previous experience also includes roles such as Head of Global Marketing and Digital Innovation at Arrow Electronics and various senior marketing and product management positions at Dell Technologies over a 14-year span.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Campbell highlighted BlackLine’s blend of innovation and impact. She expressed her commitment to elevating awareness of the company’s value proposition, increasing customer engagement, supporting growth initiatives, and enhancing the platform offering. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and International Business from the University of Colorado, Campbell brings a comprehensive skill set and educational background to her role. Her appointment reflects BlackLine’s focus on securing its position as a leading cloud platform that unifies data and processes for companies, providing automation and accountability to more than 4,300 customers globally in their financial close processes. BlackLine continues to be an industry leader trusted by enterprises and midsize businesses navigating their digital finance transformation journey.
