The joint initiative includes the establishment of the VITRO Sta. Rosa hyperscale data center, expected to be operational in early 2024. Victor Genuino, President and CEO of ePLDT, referred to it as the country’s most modern, sustainable, and first true hyperscale data center. The collaborative effort is poised to open new opportunities for businesses, government agencies, and individuals across the Philippines. New Internet Exchange points will be implemented in ePLDT VITRO Data Centres in Makati 1, Makati 2, and Pasig, facilitating easier access for local and Southeast Asian content service providers and Internet service providers to BBIX Philippines services.
