Juniper Networks, a long-standing technology powerhouse, has unveiled its latest industry-first AI-powered networking technology. Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), Juniper aims to provide reliable, secure, and measurable connections for every device, user, application, and asset.
Key advancements include new Marvis capabilities. The Marvis Minis, recognized as the only AI-native networking digital experience twin, uses Mist AI to instantly validate network configurations and identify issues without user intervention. Additionally, Juniper introduces the Marvis VNA as the first AI-native VNA for the data center, offering insights across the entire data center lifecycle for any hardware vendor.
Juniper also unveiled new AI data center products and capabilities. The Juniper Apstra now enables faster and more efficient processing of AI/ML traffic over Ethernet. The newly introduced Express 5-based PTX routers and line cards feature industry-leading performance and sustainability, providing high-density 800GE capacity for modern networking. The new QFX switch doubles the capacity of its previous generation using advanced Broadcom Tomahawk 5 silicon for 800GE.
Rami Rahim, the CEO of Juniper Networks, sees the AI-native networking platform as a “bold new direction for Juniper and for our industry.” By extending AIOps from the end user to the application and across every network domain, Juniper aims to eliminate network outages, trouble tickets, and application downtime.
The platform promises to deliver the right outcomes with a proven data science toolbox, ensuring accurate automation and insight for near-zero false positives. It includes features such as event correlation, proactive anomaly detection, rapid fault isolation with corrective actions, and self-driving network operations.
In terms of sustainability, Juniper’s AI-Native Networking Platform stands out. AIOps facilitates swift remote troubleshooting, reducing inter-site travel by up to 85% in certain scenarios. The platform is also eco-friendly, lowering energy consumption with power-efficient hardware and built to simplify repairs for extended product life.
