Global technology provider and specialist distributor, Westcon-Comstor, has announced a new distribution agreement with CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader. This strategic move aims to enhance Westcon-Comstor’s cybersecurity portfolio in the Southeast Asian market, specifically covering Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The partnership will focus on accelerating the adoption of CrowdStrike’s market-leading products, including next-gen SIEM, in these countries.
The expansion into the Asia-Pacific region builds upon the success of the Westcon and CrowdStrike partnership in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, which began in early 2021. Within the first two years, over 500 new partners were onboarded, propelling revenues from the collaboration beyond the US $100 million mark. The extension of the partnership aims to leverage Westcon-Comstor’s distribution expertise and drive the adoption of CrowdStrike’s innovative cybersecurity solutions in Southeast Asia.
Patrick Aronson, Chief Marketing Officer and APAC Executive Vice President at Westcon-Comstor, expressed excitement about bringing CrowdStrike’s cybersecurity solutions to partners in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. This move aligns with Westcon-Comstor’s commitment to providing best-in-class technologies to address the evolving threat landscape and protect digital assets. CrowdStrike’s AI-native Falcon XDR platform will be made readily available to organizations in these countries through Westcon-Comstor’s extensive network of channel partners.
With a growing demand for advanced threat protection in Southeast Asia and increasing interest in next-gen SIEM solutions, the collaboration aims to create new opportunities for channel partners while offering end-users more robust protection against evolving cyber threats. Girish Gargeshwari, Channel Director, Asia, CrowdStrike, emphasized the importance of aligning with a leading global distributor like Westcon-Comstor to tap into their distribution expertise and channel reach. Both companies express enthusiasm for the continued growth and strategic alliance between Westcon-Comstor and CrowdStrike.
