Data protection vendor Veeam Software has made strategic leadership changes in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. Macro Zhang, previously the Vice President of Sales for China, has been promoted to Vice President of Channel Strategy for APJ. This move follows the promotion of Belinda Jurisic to the role of Worldwide Vice President of Veeam’s sales development representative (SDR) organization. In her new position, Jurisic will play a key role in modernizing Veeam’s global sales and marketing strategy. She brings seven years of experience at Veeam and has previously worked with prominent organizations such as Citrix and HP.
John Jester, Veeam’s Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized the importance of attracting and retaining top talent, praising Jurisic’s contributions in APJ and expressing excitement about her new global role. Jester also welcomed Zhang to his new position, expressing confidence in his ability to continue prioritizing partners and ensuring positive customer outcomes. Zhang, with over six and a half years at Veeam China and a background in leadership roles at Citrix, Intel, and Juniper Networks, looks forward to collaborating closely with channel partners in the APJ region.
These leadership changes aim to strengthen Veeam’s position in the data protection sector and drive innovation in areas such as ransomware recovery across the APJ region. The company anticipates that these strategic moves will enhance its market position and reinforce its commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to its customers.
