Tokio Marine Asia has established a strategic agreement with Arbor Ventures, a renowned global Fintech / InsurTech-focused venture capital firm headquartered in Singapore.
Tokio Marine’s commitment to advancing the digital transformation of the global insurance business is exemplified by this cooperation, which was formed through its Innovation Lab in Singapore.
The Tokyo-based insurance group has been supporting transformational digital projects on a worldwide scale, utilizing relationships with startups and service providers with essential strategic capabilities.
To accelerate the identification and development of new business models, Tokio Marine Holdings announced earlier in April 2022 on the launch of its corporate venture capital ‘CVC’ fund partnering with World Innovation Lab, Tokio Marine Future Fund, to invest in early-stage startups.
Tokio Marine will identify and invest directly in high-growth prospective firms through the CVC Fund, in addition to partnering with Arbor and other premier VCs for unique insights and access to promising startups leading the digital change in insurance. Arbor’s inclusion in Tokio Marine’s network of collaborative venture capital greatly expands its future opportunities.
Arbor is a global FinTech/InsurTech venture capital firm having offices in Singapore, the United States, and Japan, as well as a presence in EMENA. Arbor’s worldwide connectivity and portfolio, as well as its involvement in local markets, will enable Tokio Marine Group’s innovation labs, which are spread across seven cities, including Singapore, to cooperate globally with synergy beyond borders.
