In an exciting announcement for 2023, the department is launching the upcoming “Win A Greater Health” international online startup pitch contest, with a special focus on the health industry. Registration for the contest is now open until September 15, 2023, Taipei time (UTC+8), and international teams specializing in digital health fields are strongly encouraged to participate.Attracting international startup teams with key technologies and research capabilities is of utmost importance to the department as it facilitates the collaborative transformation and advancement of local industries, a crucial goal for the city government. Recognizing the significant role of innovation and entrepreneurship in driving city diplomacy, the department actively connects global startup ecosystem resources through TEH. They organize networking events across various industries and time zones to create a comprehensive entrepreneurial community. In collaboration with TEH, the Taiwan Digital Health Industry Development Association, BE Health Ventures, and the Taipei Medical University BioMed Accelerator, this year’s international startup pitch contest invites teams from around the world to participate. The winning teams will receive round-trip tickets to Taipei for the Demo Day presentation, as well as customized matchmaking sessions and business itineraries during their stay.
