Solarpack, a Spanish solar developer-operator, has named Robert Hienz as the CEO of its German unit, signaling its intent to establish a EUR 1 billion business in Germany. With over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, including leadership roles at E.ON SE and The Mobility House, Hienz brings a wealth of expertise to Solarpack.

Despite not having an office or projects in Germany yet, Solarpack aims to build a substantial presence in the country, targeting a portfolio of 7 GW of multi-technology renewable energy projects and 1 GW of power purchase agreements (PPAs) signed by the end of 2026. Hienz, set to assume his role on May 6, will be tasked with developing and implementing Solarpack’s market strategy in Germany, focusing on both organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
