Palo Alto Networks has recently completed the successful acquisition of Talon Cyber Security, a company known for its advancements in enterprise browser technology. This move signifies Palo Alto Networks’ continued commitment to advancing in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity.

Nikesh Arora, Chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Talon to Palo Alto Networks. With a significant portion of work now happening through web browsers on unmanaged devices, the associated security risks are substantial. The integration of Talon’s Enterprise Browser with Prisma SASE will enhance our already top-tier solution.” Arora also revealed plans to offer Talon’s Enterprise Browser technology to qualified SASE AI customers without additional charges.

In the current landscape of escalating online security threats, employees commonly use personal and unmanaged devices, including mobile devices alongside corporate laptops, to access critical business applications. While this approach boosts productivity, it introduces heightened security risks due to varying levels of security, control, and visibility across devices.

To address these challenges, organizations require a comprehensive Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution that enables secure access to vital business applications regardless of the user’s device. Talon’s Enterprise Browser, as part of this solution, will enhance protection against threats such as phishing attacks, web-based attacks, and malicious browser extensions.

Furthermore, Talon offers robust controls to secure sensitive data within the browser, irrespective of whether the device is under enterprise management.

Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma SASE serves as a robust foundation for agile, cloud-powered organizations. By integrating Talon with Prisma Access, customers can significantly enhance productivity by allowing the use of unmanaged devices while ensuring consistent security and improved visibility into device usage, all while safeguarding user privacy.

This acquisition strengthens Prisma SASE’s position as the most comprehensive single-vendor SASE solution, enabling customers to implement a unified SASE strategy for complete Zero Trust security. The integration of Prisma SASE and the Enterprise Browser is crucial in securing all web applications, whether public or private, and all devices, whether managed or unmanaged.

Palo Alto Networks remains focused on delivering innovative solutions to secure digital transformation amid the accelerating pace of change. With a global customer base spanning various sectors, the company provides leading cybersecurity platforms and services supported by threat intelligence and advanced automation.

Whether deploying products for Zero Trust Enterprise enablement, responding to security incidents, or collaborating within a world-class partner ecosystem, Palo Alto Networks emphasizes its commitment to making each day safer than the preceding one.
