APAC: oVice Grabs $32 Million Funding

oVice was launched in 2020 as a way to bring together teams that had become separated during the pandemic. It provides fully customizable virtual office spaces, online classrooms, and event venues.

oVice has long-term contracts with over 2,200 companies and has over $6 million in annual recurring revenue as of 2022. (ARR). More than 60,000 daily active users check in to work in over 30,000 places built since the platform’s inception.

oVice intends to strengthen its position as a top online collaboration platform in Japan while also expanding its user base internationally. Furthermore, the organization is concentrating on developing new hybrid work solutions, which combine in-office work and telecommuting.

To that end, oVice secured a $32 million Series B funding round led by a group of Japanese and overseas investors. The investment puts the company’s total raised capital at $45 million.

The oVice team is allocating these resources in four key directions:

Building solutions tailored to hybrid workplaces that help align office and remote teams
Overseas expansion in North America, Europe, and other regions.
Attracting top talent to the project
Marketing and PR activities

The platform’s sustained growth over the last two years has demonstrated that enterprises have a long-term interest in virtual office technologies. The oVice team hopes to integrate virtual offices into remote and hybrid collaboration tech stacks in the future.
