Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has named Loh Khai Peng as the Managing Director for Singapore, effective from November 1, 2023. Loh will concurrently hold the position of Vice President and Managing Director for Southeast Asia. In his new role, he will oversee HPE’s overall business operations in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and other emerging Asian markets.
Loh brings more than three decades of enterprise IT and leadership experience in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region to his role. He has previously held significant roles within HPE, serving as Vice President and General Manager of the Account Management and Industries Organisation for APAC. He has also served as the Managing Director for the growth and emerging markets sub-region, showcasing his ability to navigate diverse markets and drive growth in dynamic environments.
Joseph Yang, who previously served as Singapore’s Managing Director during HPE’s fiscal year 2023, will now lead HPE’s High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence team across APAC and India. Yang will continue to drive HPE’s market leadership in delivering supercomputing and AI-native solutions to customers in the region.
In his new capacity, Loh will be responsible for supporting the complete HPE portfolio and account management across the countries under his purview. Additionally, he will focus on enhancing employee engagement and performance.
Expressing his excitement about the new role, Loh emphasized a strong focus on hybrid cloud management and AI. He looks forward to collaborating with his team and partner ecosystem to consolidate HPE’s market leadership in the region, delivering cloud services anywhere, and enabling customers to leverage emerging technologies for their digital transformation needs.
Narinder Kapoor, HPE’s Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific, expressed confidence in Loh’s ability to deepen customer and partner relationships, emphasizing his innovative approach to solving complex challenges. Kapoor believes that Loh will drive long-term growth and profitability in the region.
