Google’s Gemini AI Assistant Expands to Singapore: Your On-the-Go Helper

Google has announced the launch of its Gemini AI Assistant in Singapore, offering users on-the-go assistance through the Gemini app. Available for Android users via the Google Play Store or Google Assistant, and for iOS users through the Google app, Gemini allows users to type, talk, or add images to receive help from the AI assistant. Whether you need guidance on changing a flat tire or writing a thank you note, Gemini is ready to assist. Users can access Gemini anywhere Google Assistant is available, including through voice commands like “Hey Google” or hitting the power button. The app provides various voice features, such as setting timers, making calls, and controlling smart home devices, with more functionalities promised in the future.

Additionally, Google is expanding Extensions to countries and languages supported by Gemini, enabling the assistant to access relevant information from other Google apps and services. Users retain control over their privacy settings and can disable Extensions at any time. Supported languages include Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Google is also introducing a new desktop access method, where users can simply type “@gemini” followed by their query in the Chrome address bar to launch gemini.google.com with a response ready to go. This expansion of Gemini marks Google’s commitment to developing a conversational, multimodal, and helpful AI assistant.
