Global esports organization Gen.G and Crocs, have announced the launch of Crocs x ZEPETO, a new collaboration with the pioneering metaverse app, where users can create hyper-personalized 3D avatars. #CrocsxZEPETO will feature virtual shoes and fashion collections as well as virtual photo and video booth installation – all drawing inspiration from Crocs’ iconic Classic Clog.
Crocs digital shoes and apparel will be offered for purchase for the first time, marking the brand’s entry into virtual markets. The collection includes ten items, including shoes and apparel, including the Classic Spray Dye Clog, Crush Clog, and Crush Sandal from Crocs’ most recent summer collection, which recently appeared in physical stores, allowing users to customize both their 3D avatars and themselves. The collection also includes fashion apparel created specifically for the Crocs x ZEPETO experience.
The #CrocsXZEPETO encounter will unfold in two stages. Phase One will include a video booth and eight virtual Crocs items, including a Classic Spray Dye Clog, Classic Crush Clog, Classic Crush Sandal, Classic Platform Clog, Classic Slide, and two Crocs fashion apparel sets. Phase Two will open in October, inviting users to interact with a photo booth in their new Crocs gear and customize their avatars with the Crocs Hat.
In addition, users will be able to put their styling skills to the test by creating ensembles and entering the #CrocsxZEPETO Come As You Are UGC Challenge for a chance to win a grand prize consisting of an LG gram laptop, Crocs shoes, and Jibbitz Packs, as well as 100 ZEMs to use inside ZEPETO.
Influencers such as GDS, Usona, Jinjalim, lenge, Seori, Yeji, and Damhyang will endorse the Crocs x ZEPETO campaign. Talent will also demonstrate their styling abilities in the UGC photobooth by creating their own ZEPETO avatars.
Crocs X ZEPETO expands on the brand’s recent launches in the immersive and augmented reality, gaming, and digital product spaces, such as the extremely successful ‘Build Your Life in Color’ competition on Minecraft, Crocs partnership with Bitmoji, and Saweetie X Crocs virtual store.
