FSP Group has unveiled the FSP2400-20FM, the latest version of its high-wattage redundant power supply.
The FSP2400-20FM is the third generation of FSP’s flagship product, and it is based on CRPS industry standards. From 550 watts in previous iterations, the current iteration takes this even further, with 2,400 watts of power available – all while maintaining the same small frame as its predecessors. Despite having a substantially bigger capacity, it maintains the same compact dimensions as previous models. Customers save time and money since installing newer, physically larger power supply typically requires high material and utility expenses.
Smart Energy Management for a Smarter, Greener Future
Its smart features match the FSP2400-20FM’s added capacity in a small frame. It is critical to sensitive industries thanks to its Power Management Bus (PMBus) protocol, which is used to regulate power and manage components within systems and is implemented by industry leaders. This allows the FSP2400-20FM to communicate with various computer components from other manufacturers seamlessly and efficiently. PMBus also enables features such as automatically increasing and decreasing power depending on energy demand.
This automation eliminates system failure and data loss in particular conditions in facilities such as data centers, where multiple dozens or hundreds of hard drives may require a short burst of peak power above capacity to keep them going.
Powering the ‘Edge’ of Technology
The FSP2400-large 20FM’s capacity is also well suited to the predicted substantial growth in power needs in high-power computer industries and sub-industries over the next several years. This is due to the fact that sectors such as AI deep-learning, edge computing, and emerging sub-industries all necessitate strong and energy-hungry graphics cards, which necessitate high-capacity power supplies such as the FSP2400-20FM.
The FSP2400-20FM is part of a comprehensive family of CRPS solutions for companies of all sizes and is ideal for use in world-class data centers, workstations, and other automation applications. The next-generation compact PSU, with its compact size, smart features, and protocols, is sure to become another consumer favorite in FSP’s product line-up.
