Pham Van Dung, the former CEO of Ford Vietnam, and Nguyen Thien Minh, co-founder of the ride-hailing app Be, have joined forces at transport services provider Tasco, taking up key roles within the organization.
Dung has assumed the position of Chairman of SVC Holdings, a subsidiary of Tasco and Vietnam’s largest car distributor, boasting an impressive 11.2% market share. In his new role, Dung will oversee various aspects of the business, including operations, the development of strategic partnerships, research, the initiation of new projects, and market expansion, which may even include overseas ventures.
Dung brings a wealth of experience from a career spanning over 20 years at global corporations such as GM-Daewoo, Ford, and Inchcape, holding various senior positions in the auto industry. Notably, from 2015 to 2022, he served as the CEO of Ford Vietnam, becoming the first Vietnamese national to hold this prestigious position.
Nguyen Thien Minh, co-founder of Be, has taken on the role of Chairman for the Vietnam Electronic Toll Collection Company (VETC), a Tasco subsidiary, and is also responsible for Tasco’s Technology Council.
Minh has an impressive track record, with over two decades of experience in building technology platforms for major firms and startups across the United States, Europe, and Singapore. His past endeavors include working with companies such as PayPal, Wells Fargo, BestBuy, OpenTV, DTT, and American Airlines.
With these notable leaders on board, Tasco is poised for potential growth and strategic development in the transportation and technology sectors, indicating an exciting period of change and expansion for the organization.
