Classplus has raised $65 million in its latest round of C- Series funding with its lead investor Tiger Global and GSV Ventures as well as returning investors Alpha Wave Incubation, Blume Ventures, and RTP Global.
The fresh fundraise has lifted Classplus’ valuation to over $200 million. It also marks Tiger Global’s fourth investment in the Indian edtech space after Byju’s, Unacademy, and Vedantu.
Classplus said its platform has grown 10x in the last 12 months. The company develops web and mobile-based tutor enablement applications, which help tutors connect with students and parents. It also allows tutors to run all their communications, payments, assessments, and learning programs online on their smartphones. The edtech firm claims that educators can increase their student base from 100 to 1,200 students within the first eight to 10 months of using Classplus. The startup is up against similar players like Teachmint and Google-backed Cuemath.
