Global banking giant Barclays has appointed Pushkaraj (Push) Gumaste as the Head of Corporate Banking, Asia Pacific, and Middle East. The new role will be based in Singapore, and he will jointly report directly to Phil Bowkley, Head of International Corporate banking and Jaideep Khanna, Head of Barclays, Asia Pacific.
Pushkaraj will be responsible for managing and developing the Corporate Banking business, expanding, and strengthening client relation in Asia Pacific and Middle East. His appointment is a strategy of expansion in the region further by leveraging its global footprint and platform. He would be relocating from London bidding adieu to his previous role of Head of International Corporates. Prior to that, he was also the Co-Head of Banking and Head of Corporate Banking in India.

Pushkaraj joined Barclays in 2004 and has about 30 years of corporate and investment banking experience. Before joining Barclays, he was worked in corporate giants like Citibank, Credit Lyonnais and ANZ.
