AWS has introduced its Small & Medium Business (SMB) Competency, marking its first go-to-market specialization tailored for partners serving SMB customers. The competency addresses the unique needs of SMBs, considering factors such as deployment models, IT capabilities, financing preferences, and industry-specific requirements.

Partners with AWS SMB Competency can provide a range of solutions to meet SMB needs, covering platform solutions like migration, modernization, security, data storage, disaster recovery, and artificial intelligence/machine learning. Additionally, partners can offer Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, including accounting, resource management, customer service, and relationship management.

The competency is granted to partners with a proven track record of successfully addressing SMB requirements and delivering tangible results. Already, 30 partners, including Singapore’s eCloudvalley, have achieved this competency. eCloudvalley focuses on delivering AWS solutions tailored for SMBs, emphasizing ease of deployment, offering free trials, and providing transparent pricing.

Partners with AWS SMB Competency gain enhanced access to AWS scale engines, with visibility on the AWS Smart Business Hub—a digital platform for SMBs seeking solutions for their business and IT challenges. They also become part of the Connected Community, a free peer-to-peer engagement platform where SMBs new to the cloud can learn about its benefits. This initiative aims to empower SMBs with AWS solutions and facilitate collaboration among partners and customers in the SMB space.
