ACS has named Josh Griggs as its interim CEO, effective December 20, 2023, while the organization embarks on an extensive search for a permanent CEO in collaboration with Robert Half Executive Search, a global talent solutions firm. This move follows the retirement announcement of current CEO Chris Vein, citing health and personal reasons at the end of this year.
Griggs brings valuable expertise in business transformation, with a background in IT and telecommunications, providing a deep perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing ICT in Australia. ACS President Nick Tate highlighted Griggs’ experience as a key factor in his appointment, emphasizing the importance of his insights in advancing ACS’s strategic plan for delivering value to members and the wider Australian technology community.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Griggs has held leadership roles at prominent organizations in the Australian and global IT and telecommunications industry, including Optus Business, Alphawest, and data center operator Metronode.
Based in Sydney, Griggs steps into his role as ACS interim CEO, contributing to the organization’s ongoing efforts to meet the evolving needs of its members and the Australian technology landscape.
