Twice as many Organizations Started AI Journey in 2020 than in 2019
Nearly twice as many companies have started their AI journey in 2020 compared to 2019, as per the latest IDC study sponsored by Dataiku. The study highlights those that have already started are showing more AI maturity, experimenting less, and executing more repeatedly in a more coordinated way. This growing maturity is further illustrated by the increasing importance of processes (e.g., AI governance, MLOps, and more) that ensure systematic execution and continuous improvement of AI systems. When it comes to technology, 43 percent of organizations investing in AI have implemented an enterprise platform to consolidate resources.
Pine Labs Raises $600 Million Ahead of US Listing
Digital payments provider Pine Labs has raised $315 million as a part of its ongoing fundraising, and closed its current round at $600 million. With the current close, the valuation of the startup stands at $3 billion.
The round makes Pine Labs one of the highest-valued and well-capitalized fintech companies in India, behind IPO-bound Paytm and Walmart-backed PhonePe.
