Accenture Hit by Ransomware Attack; Restores Affected Systems

Accenture has confirmed that it was hit by a ransomware attack. CNBC first broke the news about the attack with a hacker group using the LockBit ransomware reportedly threatening to release the company’s data and sell insider information.

Accenture confirmed the ransomware attack, but said there was no impact on the company and that it has fully restored certain affected systems.

The attacker used LockBit to attack the global consulting firm. LockBit is a strain of ransomware that prevents users from accessing infected systems until a ransom payment is made.

43.7% iPhone Users May Upgrade to iPhone 13

Nearly 44 percent of current iPhone users intend to upgrade to an iPhone 13 model, according to new survey from SellCell. As Apple prepares to launch new iPhones, the survey revealed 43.7 percent of iPhone users said they plan to switch to iPhone 13, up 2.7 percent compared to iPhone 12 purchase intent from a survey last year. Whereas 56.3 percent revealed they are not interested in the upcoming iPhone range.

Higher refresh rate display, under-display Touch ID, always-on display and smaller notch/notch-less design topped the list of most exciting rumored features of iPhone 13.
